From Laughlin, drive on the Laughlin Bridge over the Colorado River and, in minutes, you are in Bullhead City, Arizona. Its population is 42,000 (compare to Laughlin's population of 9,000), of which several thousand work in Laughlin. Bullhead City started as a campsite for construction workers building Davis Dam, which formed Lake Mohave. A rock resembling a bull's head, now covered by Lake Mohave, inspired the name of the city.

The Laughlin-Bullhead City International Airport, which opened in 1991, is located in Bullhead City.

Attractions include:

  • Davis Camp County Park: beach, swimming, fishing, boating, RV park.
  • Davis Dam.
  • Arizona Veterans Memorial and Park.
  • Colorado river tour to Lake Havasu, a 120 mile round trip.
  • Nine golf courses.
