Flora
The
Southern Nevada Zoological-Botanical Park displays more than 150 species
on 3 acres at 1775 N. Rancho Dr (647-4685). See golden eagles, two lion,
ostriches, monkeys, flamingos, peacocks, parrots, an alligator, turtles,
golden eagles, and so on. The only family of Barbary apes
in the country can be found here. Terry, a world-traveled, Ice Capades-retired
29-year-old chimpanzee lives here as well.

You can also see wild life in casinos:
Mirage. The Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat of Siegfried and
Roy display tigers, lions, a leopard, a panther, and dolphins.
Do not miss the aquarium behind the reception desk; it holds 20,000 gallons
of salt water and 90 species of tropical fish.
Mandalay Bay. The Shark Reef. A walk-through aquarium. More than
2,000 animals are displayed, including 15 kinds of sharks. Included is
an alligator dwelling with albino alligators. The hotel also displays
exotic birds in the lobby and around its premises.
MGM. The lions' den. African lions and their cubs live in a natural
habitat in plain view behind glass walls.
Flamingo. Flamingo Wildlife Habitat. Flamingos, swans,
ducks, pheasants, quail, turtles, and other birds and fish. Open 24 hours.
