Lake MohaveLake Mohave, part of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area, was formed on the Colorado river north of Davis Dam, completed in 1953. It has 237 miles of shoreline, 44 square miles of water, and offers many water-based attractions: fishing, swimming, water-skiing, boating, and camping. It is best accessed at Cottonwood Cove, at Searchlight, on the Nevada side, and at Katherine Landing in Arizona. Numerous coves are scattered around the lake, but drinking water and restrooms are not available. Cottonwood Cove Resort and Marina provides an RV-park, boat rentals, and a motel. |
