Bonnie Springs/Old NevadaBonnie Springs Ranch, about thirty minutes west of Las Vegas, was a rest stop for those traveling to California on the Old Spanish Trail. In 1846, General Fremont stopped at this place as well. In 1952, Bonnie Springs/Old Nevada became a tourist attraction. This "oasis in the desert" is a recreation of an Old West town, and it offers horse riding, a free petting zoo, restaurant, shows (gun fights and hangings), a cocktail lounge, a motel, and even a replica of a wedding chapel from the old days (which is available for western-themed weddings).
